Ciara agreed to comply with Russell Wilson's request they abstain from lovemaking after he claimed to have received a message from God and he thinks the decision has made their relationship stronger.
He said: ''[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me. ''He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that ''extra stuff'' off the table, and just did it Jesus'
way?'
''I said to her - and she completely agreed - 'Can we love each other without that?' If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody.''
However, the 26-year-old NFL star admitted it isn't always easy sticking to the sex ban. Speaking during an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson at San Diego's Rock Church, he said: ''I ain't gonna lie to y'all now - I need you to pray for us. ''I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15.''
And Wilson feels blessed to have the 29-year-old singer - who has 13-month-old son Future with her former partner, rapper Future - in his life. He said: ''I knew that God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me.''
