The show will take place at De Geogold Hotels, Awka, Anambra State; tonight, May 16, 2015 and it’s expected to kick off by 7pm.

“Right now I am working on a couple of stuff that is going to be remembered for a long time in Nollywood. My dream is to be the next biggest thing to hit Nollywood. My fans should watch out,” the light skinned actress and mother said.

Omoni Oboli who recently escape an auto crash is so engrossed in fighting piracy,  she wrote: I AM  omoni Oboli and I represent Naija! We have a come a long way as a people, and my prayer is that our wholesome expectations would be realized as we chart a new course in our country’s history.

I have been traveling a lot of late and this is to prepare for my next movie. It excites me to know that I would be on set for another production which would bring delight to many when it’s done. I hope to always raise the bar on what I’m involved in, whether it is my production or on the set of another person’s production. We have come a long way as a nation who is recognized for their movie industry, and I am proud to be a part of it. We all have to play our part in its growth, and that is why we must insist on buying only legitimate copies of our movies whenever we have the urge to watch them, and the opportunity to buy them.

The issue of piracy is an old one, but everyone seems to be detached from their responsibility in feeding its growth, and that’s why we encourage it. At the same time many people ask me with genuine concern how we can tackle it. It starts with our collective effort to say NO to pirated copies. How can we do this, you might ask? The first step would be for us, the practitioners, to educate the public on what they should be looking out for when they see our movies on the streets so that pirated copies are not purchased for lack of being able to tell the difference between the real and the fake.

The next step is for our viewing audience to seek the right ones even if it means not watching them for a while until the genuine copies come out. I know how it feels to be tantalized with the trailers of good movies and to miss the opportunity to have watched them at the cinemas till the desire to watch the much talked about movies dulls the conscience of the would-be buyer into patronizing the pirates. I know the urge, but I have also walked away from buying those movies that I wanted so badly till I could get the genuine copies that would get back to the producers, who would then be enumerated better to produce more movies for my delight. It’s a cycle that has been broken by piracy, which diminishes the further production of better quality movies.

Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli is arguably thanking her creator for sparing her life. The adorable actress escaped what should have been a fatal auto-crash last Sunday. Sharing the ugly experience on her Instagram account, the actress said, she and her friend, Tomes Adeoye were having a pleasant evening ride when suddenly another motorist emerged from nowhere to ram into theirs.“Please help me thank my Lord and my King for saving @tomesadeoye and I from a terrible accident yesterday! We were cruising down the high way on top speed when a mad driver suddenly cut in front of us to make a last minute exit. We swerved and for a minute, we lost control of our car. How we managed to come back on track is pure God. I just kept screaming ‘The blood of Jesus’ we were badly shaken but thankful that it was only our nerves that were hurt. However, the event was unpleasant to Tiwa Savage as she got confronted by Maete Udoh “missalwayzclssy” a woman who looks like the celebrants mother

Nollywood star actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has condemned the recent trend of trekking in solidarity with politicians by some ‘loyal’ Nigerians. Trekking for politicians is what has now become a new trend for the mostly jobless young Nigerians

 Describing the exercise as misplaced priority, she wondered why youths are not using the opportunity to create awareness for better plights.

There is a growing grieve with the family of popular Nigeria artiste Yemi Alade over the demise of their late father Rtd Commissioner Of Police, Mr. J.A. Alade whose sad event took place on January 16, 2015.

Yemi who is the 5th child of her father shared a soulful tribute: “I think of you everyday but i know you are resting now…it’s my prayer that you rest in the bosom of the Lord...Amen.
You always loved animals, plants & every living thing pray that God’s gardens and farms give you rest of mind, peace and serenity now and forever …Amen

The singer did not hesitate to express her deep gratitude to the Nigeria Police she wrote: ‘I will forever be thankful and appreciative of the Nigerian Police Force for giving one of their own the type of burial Ceremony we only see in Movies. Papa will sleep well …God bless Ondo State“

Flavour AND ANNA BANNER Spotted Together At A Wedding In Enugu

 

Nigerian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer Chinedu Okoli, better known by his stage name Flavour N'abania or simply Flavour, during the weekend was spotted with Ex- beauty queen, Anna Banner and Baby Bump when the former beauty queen flew into the country for a wedding in Enugu.

From the glimpse caught on her during the occasion, Anna Banner is obviously pregnant. Four months ago she reacts to being pregnant for Flavour, she recently shared a throwback picture of herself wearing a top with Flavour’s photo on it. Report has it that Anna Banner is still in Enugu, spending quality time with Flavour’s Mum “her soon to be mother-in-law”. It was recalled earlier that Flavour welcomed his first child with beauty queen Sandra Okagbue in September 2014, a baby from Anna will be the singer’s second child.

Flavour’s ‘Golibe’ musical video which starred Anna as the lead girl featured the duo in the entertainment front pages early December 2014.

Former beauty queen will be traveling to New York soon to deliver her baby.

One of the Nollywood top artists Jim Iyke has officially set up a bottled water factory in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. Jim Iyke took to his instagram page to reveal his new bottle water called Burgeon. He said the delivery vans have commenced the distribution of the water in and around the city.

Good drinking water is indeed a profitable business in the city owing to its large population and of cause the demand. Meanwhile, the business is not owned by Jim alone. He probably has a business partner. The water is mainly distributed in Abuja. Here is what Jim wrote on instagram:

The popular Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin whose career has given her a fringe benefit has disclaimed responsibility for the separation of one’s family.

Recently the news got spread on how Lizzy shacked up with London big boy Wese Peckham.

Peckham is said to have kicked his seven months old pregnant wife out of her matrimonial home for the sake of Lizzy Anjorin. The knock-on-effect of the matter as revealed was that Peckham is planning to settle with Lizzy.

On the other hand, the light-skinned Yoruba actress has backlashed against the lingering rumor saying they are all just allegations which is not in any way true she said: I can’t hindsight how some people will just sit and invent a story just to tarnish someone’s reputation. Lizzy, however admitted that Peckham is her friend and ‘confidant’, but said she has a business relationship with the man and there is nothing more to the relationship.

“I buy things whenever I go to London and I pay the Naira equivalent into his account. He is a very nice person. I am not the only one close to him; other actresses are close to him as well. If I actually date this guy, I would tell you confidently and perhaps, beg you to protect my interest and not let the world know. How can a celebrity like me go to London to date a man? I have a lot of guys in Nigeria here. How would I go to London to date a married man with a pregnant wife?

“I have not really been so much bothered about stuffs said about me. But I feel pained in this because they said I chased a pregnant woman from her home. IYANYA RELEASES THREE HIT SONGS IN 10 DAYS

 

Nigerian musical icon Iyanya has in a timescale of 10 days release three (3) new song. FREESTYLE with Ice prince featuring was first to be dropped on April 9, 2015, next was YUDALA which features Mystro, Tekno, Selebobo and Basi on April 15, 2015 closely followed by his solo performance APPLAUDISE on April 19, 2015.

In his expression on why he released a three track song in rapid succession, he clearly stated:      
“We are in the business of keeping fans entertained and this is the reason behind the latest efforts you have observed”. He added:

The idea is to ensure that my wonderful fans enjoy the best of Iyanya at all times. Many more releases are in the pipeline and will be made public soon. As for the album, I wish to assure you that this year will be a very big one for my fans.
