Curvaceous Ghana-based Gambian actress,
Princess Christian Shyngle, has dared shy men who want to approach her to be
bold to do so instead of going behind her back to seek her phone number and
personal information from her friends.
Princess, 24, who says she does not appreciate those sneaky methods,
revealed some men even secretly take pictures of her and send them to her via
Instagram in a bid to get through to her.
In a chat with Showbiz last Monday, the actress said although she is
currently single and not looking for love, she found it very unmanly that
some men were intimidated by her looks and would resort to such cowardly
means to get to her.
“My last relationship failed because my partner had trust issues
and
felt insecure because of the nature of my job and the number of people I
interacted with on a daily basis. Right now, I am focused on my career and due
to my busy schedule, I don’t have much time to dedicate to a relationship,”
she said.
However, when she is ready to choose from her numerous suitors,
Princess admits she will have eyes for a man who is cute, God fearing,
ambitious and confident. No timid men will be considered.
The beautiful actress, whose vital statistics are 30-22-44, admitted
that although her curvy figure drew her a lot of attention, which she enjoyed
to some extent, she also found it very annoying sometimes and want people to
look beyond her jaw-dropping body.
“I want people to see me beyond my body. I want them to see me as
intelligent, smart and talented. I worked for Coca-Cola, which is global
brand at the age of 18 and I was head of key accounts, business development
and sponsorship.”
Talking about her figure, which has earned her admiration, she said
she had a very strict dieting and exercise regimen which she observed every
day.
“I exercise every single day, I don’t have to go to the gym but I make
sure I do my sit-ups at home. I drink my green tea, warm water and lemon
every day and I am always on diet. Naturally, I have always been curvy. The
slim waist is the result of waist training but the figure is God given,” she
said.
Throwing light on how she became an actress, Princess who shot to fame
after appearing in D Black’s movie, Why Should I Get Married, said she found
her passion for the make believe world after taking part in the Next Movie
Star reality show, although she had never acted prior to her audition.
“I was encouraged by friends to give it a try and out of hundreds of
Gambians who auditioned, I was selected to represent my country in Nigeria. I
was in the house with 16 other housemates and I came in second at the final.”
She is currently studying film directing at the Accra Film School at
East Legon.
“I am not just an actress; I am also a movie producer and a writer. In
November, I co-produced, wrote and starred in Why Did I Get Married together
with D.Black. The movie was a huge success and we got six nominations at the
Ghana Movie Awards, and eventually won one.”
Princess was born in the Gambia and says she is a descendant from all
over Africa. “My paternal grandparents are from Ghana and Sierra Leone
respectively while my maternal grandparents are from Nigeria and Mali.”
With a decent educational background, the actress has majored in IT,
Business and Marketing from the Gambian Business College and worked with
beverage giants, Coca-Cola.
